This is a song that I've seen on youtube a few days ago.
Unexpected, like a shooting star
That's how we started, adoration from afar
But we lost it, we couldn't reach the bar
Now I'm nowhere near where you are
Our ties are broken and apart
CHORUS:
Oh maybe, one day, oh, one day
We'll cross each other's way
And have a chance to say, "For you, I'm happy."
Oh maybe, one day, oh, one day
We'll grab a coffee and share stories
About the woman you love
And the man that I've met
And have no regrets 'cause in the end
It was for the best
We were joyful
A scrapbook lives just to prove it
But we argued
Passions, thoughts, they all collided
We sang that we were "Meant To Be."
But baby, we were wrong
Perhaps that wasn't quite our song
CHORUS
BRIDGE:
I can cry, but where would that get me?
You could lie and say you were never happy
The well is dry, we're tired and we're thirsty
I bid you goodbye
Oh, one day, oh, one day
Oh, one day, oh, one day
Oh, one day, oh, one dayThis is actually a feel good song. When I heard this, I remembered my friend and I wanted her to listen to it. She told me that this song actually made her cry. The song is really perfect for those who had broken up and is still hoping that they could still be friends with their ex- lover. It's about being happy with the present thing that you have and accepting the fact that what you had with him or her before really didn't worked out that's why it's better for both of you to stay as friends.
The song is really about accepting the fact that both of you had moved on already and showing him or her that you're happy that he's happy already with his/ her present love.
Some relationships are really bound to end. It's not meant to last forever or for a lifetime. It's just a matter of accepting these things and moving on with your life. You may have lost your past lover but we know for a fact that along the way, you will meet someone new who would love you and make you happy more than your past did. :)We'll grab a coffee and share storiesAbout the woman you loveAnd the man that I've metAnd have no regrets 'cause in the endIt was for the best
